Disability Resources

The ABLE Act allows a person whose disability began before age 26*, to save money in the ABLE account without affecting most federally funded benefits based on need.

This program provides medical assistance to children who are medically complex.

The mission of the Utah Parent
Center (UPC or Center) is to help parents help their children, youth and young adults with disabilities and special healthcare needs to live included, productive lives as
members of the community.

Guardianship Associates of Utah is the only non-profit guardianship organization in the State of Utah.   Helping families as they navigate the process of seeking guardianship and/or conservatorship for incapacitated children, parents, spouses and siblings.

Vocational Rehab helps people with disabilities address their unique barriers and achieve employment. Our goal is to assist people with disabilities in building careers that have value and lead to greater independence by providing them with the tools and support they need.

DSPD provides a substantial number of varied services intended to help people with disabilities participate more fully in their communities and lead more self-determined lives.

SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance) and SSI (Supplemental Security Income) are both federal programs that provide benefits to individuals with disabilities,
but they differ significantly in eligibility requirements and how they are funded.
